We were commissioned by the Science Photo Library to product a series of logic gates animations for education. Initially they detailed how a simple single gate worked such as a AND or NOT Gate. Once these were complete we were asked to move on to more complicated sequences which combined gates together. Animating this using keyframes would have been laborious so we used node based scripting to make the gates work exactly as they would do in the physical world, all we had to do was animate the inputs and everything else such as the cable glow & LED light worked automatically.
